Bloody Tears of Joy
I've been giving Dawn of Sorrow the attention it damn well deserves lately. I'm only about 35% through it and I'm already convinced that it's the best game on the DS. As awesome as the screenshots flying around the internet are, they cannot possibly do the game justice. It's every bit as visually awesome, if not moreso, than Symphony of the Night.
Where the game comes up short is the stylus aspect. I fought a boss today that was revived twice 'cause I was fumbling with my stylus. They really could've left that shit out. It adds nothing and only takes me out of the game and reminds me I'm playing a DS everytime I beat a boss.

It's a great game to play in the dark, so you can make out the details. You can see Soma's breath when he's outside. If you hang out in the Missing Village (the first "level") you might spot a sasquatch in the background. Soma's animations are awesome and varied. He swings a broadsword or a great axe over his head, but when he's using a katana he quickly strikes and re-sheathes his blade in a flash. When he uses a 9mm, you'd think he'd come straight out of San Andreas. Too cool for words.
Most of the enemies have been redrawn and they're really eager to show off their new moves.
Also. I've yet to run across a single medusa head. And I'm grateful.
