Lost in translation
Just wrapped up another two week jaunt out to sea.
It was pretty excruciating.
I don't feel like talking about it.
The day after we pulled in I had to complete the PRT (Physical Readiness Test). I passed just fine, like I always do. But I feel like I'm grossly out of shape, and I want to do something about it, but I don't know where to find the time.
On top of that, it's imperative that I find a place to live. Soon.
But therein lies another dilemma. By the time I get off work it's usually too fucking late to do anything.
I went out to the mall the other night and got a true blue Japanese cell phone. I hear if you don't get one within 90 days of being here they kick you out of the country. The girl at the DoComo joint in the mall didn't know much English. Mind you, her English was better than my Japanese. It was all right 'til I went about asking her how to pay the monthly bill. She'd pull out her J -> E dictionary, and I'd pull out my E -> J. It was like connecting the dots. If you know me, you probably can guess which one I ended up with. It comes with an SD card, 2.0Mega Pixel Camera, and Final Fantasy.
It's like the fifth version of that game that I've owned. But who's counting, right?
If the phone wasn't geeked out enough, it also happens to be the phone Cloud uses in Advent Children. I even has "Fanfare" and "Aeris Theme" ring tones.
I think it kinda suits me.
I'm so hopelessly behind on games, it's not even funny. I really want to get in on the WoW action bad. And a little HALO 2 wouldn't hurt either...
'cause I feel really out of the loop right now.
