Hong Kong was good to me... Could've been even better if I wasn't such a punk... I hardly consumed any alcohol... Maybe it was residual remorse for Japan... which is really retarded considering I didn't do anything... criminal... But, whatever it was, I wasn't in the drinking mood the whole time... And what I did drink didn't really do it for me...
I really made out there... It was good timing... Crystal Chronicles had come out on the 8th and the good ol' Vinson pulls in, so you know where my priorities were... Mo, Nick, & I went out to Sham Shui Po, likely the pirated, bootleg software capital of the world. There I picked up CC and the ever so coveted Boktai bundle... We took a trip too Lantau Island and saw the Buddha at Po Lin Monastery also... Something I'll never forget... All in all, Hong Kong is now one of my favorite ports, up there with Singapore. Can't wait to go back...
As usual, Gibby was a source of some priceless comic relief... He came back to the ship the day b'fore duty proclaiming he'd found an English copy of Boktai for $15 USD... He found one all right... One completely void of a sunlight sensor rendering his copy unplayable... What a tool...
